I'm a public health dietitian working in Australia and the UK.
I love public health because we can make such a difference to improve people's lives, before they get sick, by improving the food available and increasing knowledge about healthy food. Most of my work centres on improving the food options available to people where they live, work and when they travel. I've also seen many clients one on one for assistance with weight loss and help with managing diet related conditions.
It's usually only five minutes after meeting someone that they discover what I do for work and ask a question about what to eat. I think this means that nutrition is a really popular subject, yet it's so incredibly confusing most of us think we need to ask a dietitian about what we put into our bodies.
Here I aim to answer a wide range of your nutrition questions and address some of the marketing hype about certain ingredients so you can confidently choose healthy and delicious food to eat.
